Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions about requests to send prescriptions to a pharmacy

Do you have questions about requests to send prescriptions to a pharmacy? We are happy to answer the most frequently asked questions. If your question is not listed, you can of course always contact us.

Can my prescription be sent to an (online) pharmacy?

We only send prescriptions to pharmacies with which we have a direct and secure connection. This ensures that the prescription goes straight into the pharmacy's system and is processed correctly.

Why can't you send prescriptions to other pharmacies?

Sending prescriptions manually to pharmacies without a secure connection is time-consuming and increases the risk of errors, such as prescriptions getting lost. This leads to extra work and frustration for the patient, the pharmacy and the practice alike.

Can I request my prescription myself and forward it?

No, we do not hand out prescriptions separately or send them by email. This would mean extra work for our practice and does not fit in with the way we work.

What if my pharmacy is not in your system?

There are plenty of pharmacies with which we have a secure connection. You can choose one of these.

Why do you work this way?

Staff are scarce and we are forced to make choices in order to work efficiently. By sticking to fixed, safe ways of working, we can continue to provide care to all our patients.

Questions or need an appointment?
