GP practice

Medical procedures

You can come to our practice for many medical procedures. Who helps you depends on your question. When you make the appointment, we will tell you who you will see.

Doctor’s assistants

Our doctor’s assistants are also GP support assistants (SOH). They run their own consultations under the supervision of the GP, give advice on common complaints and treat everything confidentially.

  • Blood pressure check, 30-minute and 24-hour measurement
  • Wound care and removal of stitches
  • Ear syringing
  • Injections
  • Pregnancy test
  • Blood (CRP, glucose, Hb) and urine tests
  • Wart treatment
  • Heart tracing (ECG) or 24-hour Holter monitoring
  • Cervical smear test for the national screening programme

Practice nurses

The practice nurse (POH) focuses on chronic conditions such as asthma, diabetes and cardiovascular disease and, after consultation with the GP, can support you with mental health problems.

  • Spirometry (COPD and asthma)
  • Doppler measurement
  • Stop-smoking consultation
  • Cardiovascular check
  • Inserting a bladder catheter

GPs

The GP always has final responsibility for your treatment and keeps the overview, even when you see the doctor’s assistant or practice nurse or are referred.

  • Mole removal
  • Minor surgical procedures
  • Removal of (pedunculated) small warts and seborrhoeic warts
  • Joint injections, for example for pain
  • Coil (IUD) insertion
  • Inserting an IV cannula

Specialist injections

Injections via the GP

For certain conditions, as an extra service, we administer specialist injections and medication or order them for you. For example for allergy immunotherapy (such as Pollinex) or depot injections for prostate cancer or psychiatric conditions.

Our team

Meet the whole team

At our practice, GPs, doctor’s assistants and practice nurses work closely together. That way you receive care from the person best suited to help you.
