Frequently asked questions about the flu jab

In 2025 we gave the annual flu jab on 28 October. Were you unable to get the flu jab and/or the pneumococcal vaccination on 28 October 2025? You can make an appointment yourself for a catch-up vaccination via our vaccination calendar.

You can easily schedule your appointment yourself via the UwZorgOnline app (our patient app).

Please note: bring your invitation letter with you; without the letter you will not receive a vaccination!

How to make an appointment

Open the UwZorgOnline app on your phone (or go to the website on your computer).

1. Log in with your account.

2. Click on the “Afspraken” (Appointments) tile.

3. Then click on “Maak afspraak” (Make appointment).

4. Choose the “Vaccinaties” (Vaccinations) calendar.

Select a date and time.

Unable to create an account or log in?

Then – after 28 October – you can leave a call-back request, so that we can schedule an appointment for you by phone.

--> After 28 October, call our general phone number and choose option 3 – ‘Terugbelverzoek’ (call-back request) to have your vaccination appointment scheduled by phone.

Pneumococcal vaccination

Were you invited for the flu jab and the pneumococcal vaccine, and would you still like to receive it?
At the moment we have run out of pneumococcal vaccines and unfortunately the vaccine is not available.
Because the Dutch government bought too few pneumococcal vaccines, all GP practices in the Netherlands unfortunately have to wait for new stock. We have to order extra vaccines, but these will not be delivered until after 12 January.
Would you like to let us know whether you do still want to receive the vaccine? Please tell us, so that we can order enough vaccines as soon as the new delivery is available.

Vaccinations at your own request

Were you not invited for the flu jab, but would you still like a flu vaccination? You can order it from the doctor's assistant. They will send a prescription to the pharmacy. You can collect the vaccine there and make an appointment in the vaccination calendar to have it given by the doctor's assistant.
